European Grand Prix
European Grand Prix, currently held at Valencia in
Spain, was reintroduced during the mid-1980s. Since 1999 the race has
been the regular part of F1 season. The European Grand Prix was created
as an honorific title by the AIACR, predecessor of the FIA. The title
was first given to the Italian Grand Prix. The 1977 British Grand Prix
was the last race to receive the honorific title. Since its modern
incarnation in 1990s the race was held at Nürburgring in Germany.
Formula 1 European Grand Prix was held in Valencia, Spain, for 2008.

Valencia Circuit
Located in the recently revamped marine area of Italy, the track is
5.473 kilometres in length and boasts top speeds of 300 km/h plus. The
innovative track has 25 turns, 11 left and 14 right. After a series of
'S' bends, the field makes a sharp turn to the left and then enters the
home straight, which is located back in the port region. The track has
all the benefits of a street circuit and also incorporates modern safety
specifications. At least 14 metres wide along its entire length, the
track offers good overtaking opportunities and lessens the probability
of accidents.
